Back to work - back to blogging.
Met a few people today, who reminded me of an event that occurred a few years back.
SDN Day.
This day remains one of my special days of my work life. Whenever I think of this day, I remember how it assured me that I had come a long way in overcoming stage fright. I still am nervous whenever I am supposed to address an audience, but atleast I dont stammer now! :)
There was something else that came to my mind today, when I thought of this day.
The support I was given.
This has never occurred to me until now.
I was supposed to take a technical session that day. Like me, there were many other people making presentations.
My presentation, specifically, was scheduled at the same time as another techie's who was presenting a technical paper on "ESOA".
Everyone was curious about ESOA and wanted to learn more about it. And most of them did go to this session.
Some of my colleagues decided to come over to my session instead. What I didnt realise, is that they were as interested in my session as the other one. But they decided to attend mine, to show support.
This was something I had always taken for granted. Something I had assumed to be a part of all teams everywhere.
Only lately have I come to realise a lack of brotherhood in many many teams and the urgent need for a way to pep up team spirit and make work more enjoyable.
Im glad that I got to work with an enthusiastic spirited team. I would never have been able to understand what team spirit is all about without these people.
One memory.. many perspectives!

PS: I dont even remember what were the other sessions at the same time when you took yours. Maybe I should have gone to the other one after all.. :-)
